THE PREDICTION

Having to win any of their last four Bundesliga fixtures, picking up just two points from a possible 12, Bayer Leverkusen have slipped down from second-place in the German top flight, to sixth-place heading into the international break. Two weeks without a fixture was probably seen as a blessing in disguise by head coach Gerardo Seoane, as it will have given his players not on international duty a chance to reflect on what has been going wrong in recent weeks and how to fix it. They now host a Bochum side who have won three of their last four league games and will fancy themselves to record a big scalp at the BayArena when taking into account the hosts’ recent form. Whilst Bayer Leverkusen are expected to dominate the play, Bochum represent a big threat on the counter attack against a side who have gone four Bundesliga matches without recording a clean sheet. With that in mind, this encounter could go either way and backing both teams to score looks very much the smart move.
