Luis Enrique signed a new contract this week to extend his Paris Saint-Germain deal until the summer of 2027. The French champions aren’t top in Ligue 1 at the moment, though, as they now welcome Liam Rosenior’s Strasbourg to Parc des Princes.

PSG PREVIEW: PUSHY PSG

As mentioned, Luis Enrique is in charge of Paris Saint-Germain and will now be for a few more years at least. The French champions are trying to avoid the circus that has become their club over recent years and a recent fallout between the manager and key man Ousmane Dembele has suggested that could well be the case again.

The Parisiens are unbeaten in their opening seven matches of the 2024/25 season but they begin the weekend sitting two points behind league leaders Monaco at the top-of-the-table. PSG’s 1-1 draw against Nice at the Allianz Riviera a couple of weeks ago means they have now managed just one win in their last four matches across all competitions.

STRASBOURG PREVIEW: SILKY STRASBOURG

Former Hull City boss Liam Rosenior is implementing a similar style of football at Strasbourg as to the one he did at Hull last year when the Tigers narrowly missed out on the top six and the playoff places. The Alsace-based club have been very impressive so far this season with an impressive style of football, too.

Prior to the October international break a couple of weeks ago, Strasbourg most recently shared an entertaining 2-2 draw against Lens at Stade de la Meinau. Strasbourg went behind twice in that game to goals from M’Bala Nzola and Andy Diouf but they equalised twice via Abakar Sylla and Habib Diallo.

PSG VS STRASBOURG PREDICTION

Luis Enrique and Paris Saint-Germain will get on the front foot as they always do and they will continue to try and develop the all-French front three of Dembele, Randal Kolo Muani and Ligue 1 top scorer Bradley Barcola following the return of Dembele into the PSG fold. They now face a Strasbourg side that will play as attackingly and as entertainingly as ever with a fluid style of football. PSG should win, especially at home, but it could be quite a fun and high-scoring encounter.

PSG VS STRASBOURG TIP: PSG TO WIN & OVER 2.5 GOALS
