THE LOWDOWN

MONACO

Former Borussia Monchengladbach boss Adi Hutter has implemented an attacking and aggressive style of football in charge of Monaco with the Monagasque always an entertaining team to watch for the neutral. In their 19 matches so far this season, there has been a combined total of 63 goals with 36 scored and 27 conceded.

They do, though, come into this one on the back of some fairly inconsistent form with a fair few too many draws of late. They drew their most recent outing against Olympique de Marseille, despite leading twice in that match at the Stade Velodrome. They have suffered two defeats in their last eight matches across all competitions.

LE HAVRE

Le Havre gained promotion to the top-flight of French football for the first time in over 15 years last season and they begin this weekend’s round of fixtures sitting firmly in the middle-of-the-table comfortably clear of relegation danger, which will be viewed as more than good enough as we enter the month of February.

The visitors shared a 3-3 draw with Lorient last weekend in a game where they had to fight back twice and snatched a point deep into second-half stoppage-time via Andre Ayew. They have suffered just one loss in their last six matches across all competitions and are a stubborn team to play against Ligue 1.

THE PREDICTION

This one is a real clash of styles with Monaco one of the more entertaining teams to watch in European football at the moment with their games producing over three goals on average. They take on a Le Havre side that have enjoyed relative success based on a strong defensive foundation and structure, conceding just 23 goals so far this season. A good value bet could be to back against the inconsistent Monaco as they host difficult to beat opposition.

TIP: DOUBLE CHANCE – LE HAVRE TO WIN OR DRAW
