Peter Bosz’s Olympique Lyonnais come into this on the back of a 1-0 win away to Portuguese league leaders Porto in midweek. Lyon have been generally poor and underperforming since Bosz’s summer arrival but they have improved in the last couple of months and are challenging towards the European spots. They now come up against a Stade Rennais side that come into this on the back of three successive Ligue 1 victories but they did suffer a 2-0 defeat to Leicester in the UEFA Europa Conference League in midweek. Rennes have been easy on the eye this season and given the tendency for a Peter Bosz side to be a bit ‘gung-ho’, a fairly high-scoring encounter could in the offing.
