At the start of this season, after finishing as runners’ up last year and just a point behind eventual winners and their upcoming opponents, Paris Saint-Germain, Lens started really poorly until around mid-September. After then, though, they have propelled themselves from down at the bottom end of the table to the top-half and back into the hunt for European qualification.
The home team, under the management of Franck Haise, come into this one on the back of a slow start to the calendar year. They shared a 2-2 draw with Monaco before being knocked out of the Coupe de France on penalties and that followed on from going into the winter break on the back of a 2-0 defeat to Nice.

In their 17 matches so far this season, Lens have managed to score just 21 goals – despite the major improvements that they have made in recent months. However, they are missing several key players for this weekend’s visit of PSG.
