LE HAVRE PREVIEW: LOSING LE HAVRE

At the end of last season, Slovenian coach Luka Elsner departed Le Havre to become the new manager of Stade de Reims and he was replaced by former Middlesbrough midfielder Didier Digard, who did initially start well.

The home team lost 4-1 to Paris Saint-Germain on the opening day but they performed quite well. They come into this one on the back of four successive defeats, though, with losses to nil against Stade Brest and Lille before the international break.

LYON PREVIEW: IMPROVING LYON

Last season, Olympique Lyonnais were rock-bottom in early-December but they then collected the most points of any team in Ligue 1 as they propelled themselves to sixth, the Coupe de France and UEFA Europa League qualification.

Still coached by Pierre Sage, a difficult summer transfer window was followed by a slow start to the season before they turned things around before the break, enjoying four successive victories across all competitions.

LE HAVRE VS LYON PREDICTION

Le Havre have been wanting to play on the front foot throughout this season but have been a little susceptible at the back and have actually become quite ineffective, too. They now face a Lyon side that will head to Stade Oceane looking to continue with what is quite a chaotic but entertaining style of football. Lyon are favourites for a game that could and perhaps should well feature both teams scoring.
