THE PREDICTION
Trinidad and Tobago come into this opening World Cup qualifier amid reports of unrest in the camp with head coach Terry Fenwick reportedly in a bust-up with the FA’s director of communications. They are already without experienced duo Kevin Molino and Alvin Jones but they have named a big squad for these games as some may be unable to play the next game due to quarantine restrictions. It has been a bleak time for the Soca Warriors in recent years and they have not been helped by one positive COVID test in the camp which has disrupted preparations further. Guyana’s preparations have been much more straight forward in comparison and their form has been much better than the hosts as they have shown a marked improvement in recent years. They will not be daunted by this match especially given it will be held in the Dominican Republic so T&T do not even have home advantage to help them. Guyana will be fired up to spring an upset and they can avoid defeat at the minimum here.
