Oman’s 3-1 friendly victory against a poor Indonesia last week continued some impressive form in which they are now unbeaten in their last four matches and have lost just one of their last nine games. They come up against a Qatar side that are already qualified as hosts, obviously, however they also top this group so an Omani win is the more important result in terms of the permutations. Oman will find it difficult to defeat a Qatari team that remain unbeaten in their seven matches so far in qualification but a draw might be a sensible bet.
