THE PREDICTION
FA Cup winners Leicester get the defence of their title underway at home to Watford, who are of course managed by the Foxes’ Premier League winning manager Claudio Ranieri. It has not been the league campaign Brendan Rodgers would have wished for back in August and he will no doubt be hoping that his team can once again embark on a successful cup run, particularly after being knocked out of the Carabao Cup on penalties by Liverpool at the quarter-final stage. Watford however, have bigger fish to fry with a Premier League relegation dogfight on the cards and when taking into account their fragile backline who have shipped 16 goals across their last six games, including four against Leicester when the two sides met at the King Power Stadium in the Premier League, the expectation is that the hosts will once again dominate proceedings here in the FA Cup and emerge victorious over 90 minutes.
