Denmark 0-1 Finland match report
Finland won their first-ever match at a European Championship final tournament but the victory was over-shadowed after Denmark star Christian Eriksen collapsed on the pitch shortly before half-time. The match was initially suspended as Eriksen received treatment and thankfully came around as he was transferred to hospital where he is in a stable condition.
The match itself will be forgotten by many on a day where the game was put in some perspective by the medical emergency. After the game restarted some hours later at the request of both sets of players, it was Finland who grabbed the all-important goal from Joel Pohjanpalo to win on their EURO debut.
Denmark skipper Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg had a golden chance to equalise from the penalty spot but his tame penalty was saved by Lukas Hradecky to earn Finland the victory.
