THE TEAM NEWS
GERMANY
- Germany will be looking to maintain their 100% record and draw level on points with Northern Ireland at the top of Group C ahead of the two teams' meeting next week.
- Injured trio Leroy Sane, Thilo Kehrer and Antonio Rudiger are the main absentees from Joachim Low's 22-man squad, while midfielder Emre Can has been recalled.
- Timo Werner should lead the attack having started the season in blistering form, while Joshua Kimmich is expected to be deployed as a defensive midfielder once again.
Predicted line-up (4-3-3): Neuer; Klostermann, Ginter, Sule, Schulz; Goretzka, Kimmich, Gundogan; Gnabry, Werner, Reus
Unavailable: Kehrer (Injured), Sane (Injured), Rudiger (Injured)
Doubtful:
NETHERLANDS
- The Netherlands have only played two qualifiers as they reached the final of the Nations League in the summer, and victory over Germany would close the gap on their bitter rivals to three points with a game in hand.
- Winger Steven Bergwijn has pulled out of the squad after suffering an injury last weekend so youngster Justin Kluivert, who is yet to feature in a competitive match, has been called up.
- Young striker Donyell Malen has received his first-call up but there is no place for Wout Weghorst despite his excellent club form. Memphis Depay, who has scored four goals in four games for Lyon this season, should lead the attack in any case.
Predicted line-up (4-3-3): Cillessen; Dumfries, De Ligt, Van Dijk, Blind; De Roon, F. De Jong, Wijnaldum; Berghuis, Depay, Promes
Unavailable: Bergwijn (Injured), Van de Beek (Injured)

THE PREDICTION
There were five goals in the reverse fixture in March and Friday's encounter promises to be another high-scoring one between these two old rivals. Germany have scored two or more goals in five of their last six internationals, as have the Netherlands in each of their last four European qualifiers.
