  • Since losing in Turkey in June, France have won all four of their games scoring 12 goals and conceding just one, and they can seal qualification and go top of the group with a win on Monday.
  • N'Golo Kante was due to start against Iceland on Friday but pulled out after picking up an injury during the warm-up, but coach Didier Deschamps has played down the problem.
  • Steve Mandanda was selected as the replacement for first-choice goalkeeper Hugo Lloris, who is one of numerous key players currently missing due to injury and he should keep his place.

  • Group H leaders Turkey needed a last-minute goal to see off Albania in Istanbul on Friday and record their third successive win and clean sheet.
  • Centre-back Kaan Ayhan came off at half-time with an injury against Albania and was replaced by in-form Leicester man Cenk Soyuncu, who is likely to start here.
  • Veteran captain Emre Belozoglu also sustained an injury against Albania and has been ruled out of this one, so either fit-again Okay Yokuslu or Irfan Can Kahveci will come into the midfield.

THE PREDICTION

Turkey have been one of the most impressive sides in European qualifying, particularly on the defensive side. They have conceded just two goals in seven matches, while France have conceded just one in their last four, so at least one of these teams is likely to keep a clean sheet. The hosts have to be favoured though to gain revenge for their sole defeat against Turkey early in the qualifying phase.
