THE LOWDOWN
WOLVES
- Wolves’ problems in front of goal reared their head again as they were unable to break down managerless Bournemouth on Wednesday, and they find themselves in the bottom three heading into this fixture.
- No new injuries have been suffered among the Wolves, so Chiquinho remains the only absentee, however Bruno Lage must be tempted to make changes among his forward line after firing blanks against the Cherries.
SOUTHAMPTON
- An excellent 2-1 win over Chelsea midweek lifted Southampton into the top half of the table with summer recruits Armel Bella-Kotchap and Romeo Lavia catching the eye for the Saints.
- Unfortunately, an injury to Lavia has ruled him out for the next few weeks and he will be a big miss based on his performance against the Blues.

THE PREDICTION
Wolves continue to toil in front of goal with Bruno Lage’s side scoring just once in their last four Premier League games, although they have only conceded twice in that time so they are at least managing to pick up one or two points along the way. Southampton are on a high after seeing off Chelsea on Tuesday in what was a fine display from Ralph Hassenhuttl’s men, but away from home they do struggle to keep clean sheets. If Wolves are finally going to click into gear, this could be the fixture as the Saints have conceded in each of their last 16 away contests in the Premier League. Honours even would not be a surprise here though, with a draw the predicted outcome.
