THE LOWDOWN

Wolves' last outing was an entertaining 3-2 defeat to Crystal Palace but, despite that loss, there were some signs prior to the international break that Gary O'Neil's methods were starting to take effect and the Midlands club are currently in 15th position heading into the resumption of the Premier League.
All of the action in the Palace defeat took place in the second half, with in-form Odsonne Edouard opening the scoring. Wolves were level went Hwang Hee-chan found the net a little under then minutes later, but Eberechi Eze and a second from Edouard put the game beyond reach. Matheus Cunha's 96th-minute goal was little more than a consolation.
LIVERPOOL
Liverpool have made an excellent start to the season with their only dropped points having been against Chelsea on the opening weekend, and it is their attack in particular which is operating at a high level with plenty of healthy competition for places.
Their last fixture against Aston Villa was seen as a potential stumbling block but Jurgen Klopp's men made light work of the challenge. Dominik Szoboszlai scored his first Liverpool goal after just three minutes, before a Matty Cash own goal doubled the lead halfway through the first half. Mohamed Salah then got his customary goal on 55 minutes, in what was ultimately a comfortable victory for the Reds.

WOLVES
It's still relatively quiet on the injury front for Wolves with Joe Hodge the only confirmed absentee in the camp. Tommy Doyle missed the Palace defeat but is likely to be available for this one.
O'Neil must decide whether to keep faith with Rayan Ait-Nouri at left-back with Hugo Bueno waiting for another chance, while Hwang Hee-chan is in-line for a start after getting on the scoresheet last time out.

Trent Alexander-Arnold has been ruled out with a hamstring injury so a defensive reshuffle is needed. Kostas Tsimikas, ordinarily a left-back, could fill in on the right, or alternatively Andy Robertson could switch flanks. A third option still is for Joe Gomez to move over to the left, but that would depend on the return of Ibrahima Konate to central defence. Virgil van Dijk remains suspended.
Ryan Gravenberch could make the squad for the first time, while Klopp may play it cautious with his South American contingent following the international break, meaning the likes of Alexis Mac Allister, Darwin Nunez and Luis Diaz could be benched.

THE PREDICTION
Liverpool have been mightily impressive so far this season and this is a fixture they will certainly be expecting to collect three points from. The Reds' last trip to Molineux was a chastening 3-0 defeat in February, but the visitors look a different outfit now with their attack functioning well. There are still question marks at the back with Virgil van Dijk suspended, so don't be surprised to see them concede along the way. A high-scoring win for Jurgen Klopp's men could be the order of the day.
