THE LOWDOWN

WOLVES

Gary O’Neil and his Wolverhampton Wanderers side have been in excellent form over the last couple of months as they compete for a potential top seven finish and European qualification in the Premier League, as well as reach the FA Cup quarter-finals with a tie against Championship side Coventry City at Molineux in a couple of weeks standing between themselves and a trip to Wembley.

However, they come into this one needing a response after they were hammered by three goals to nil at St James’ Park last weekend against an inconsistent Newcastle United. Alexander Isak and Anthony Gordon scored first-half goals for the Magpies before former Southampton defender Tino Livramento sealed it for Eddie Howe’s men.

FULHAM

Marco Silva could potentially be forgiven for allowing his Fulham side to coast and drift towards the end of the season having been knocked out of both domestic cup competitions and sitting firmly ensconced in the middle-of-the-table in the Premier League but the Cottagers have found a bit of a groove in recent weeks and come into this one in good form.

Fulham come into this one on the back of an impressive 3-0 hammering of Brighton and Hove Albion at Craven Cottage, last weekend. Harry Wilson, Rodrigo Muniz and Adama Traore scored the goals in that game. That followed a famous victory over Manchester United at Old Trafford and they have now won three of their last four matches.

THE TEAM NEWS

WOLVES

Gary O'Neil has confirmed that Wolverhampton Wanderers will be able to count on key men Jose Sa and Pedro Neto this weekend after they were both substituted at half-time of their aforementioned loss to Newcastle, last weekend.

Aside from that, Wolves' only other main availability concerns are up-front as both Matheus Cunha and Hwang Hee-chan are missing through injury for this weekend's visit of Fulham on Saturday afternoon. Joao Gomes is also a doubt.

PREDICTED XI (3-4-2-1): Sa; Kilman, Dawson, Toti; Semedo, Doyle, Lemina, Ait-Nouri; Sarabia, Bellegarde; Pedro Neto

UNAVAILABLE: Hwang (Injured), Cunha (Injured)

QUESTIONABLE: Joao Gomes (Injured)

FULHAM

Marco Silva has confirmed that he has no new or fresh injury issues or suspension concerns with Fulham's only absentee being Mexican international striker, Raul Jimenez, who has missed the last few weeks.

The Portuguese manager will be able to welcome back his compatriot, Joao Palhinha, who has now completed a two-match suspension for accumulating ten yellow cards.

PREDICTED XI (4-2-3-1): Leno; Castagne, Adarabioyo, Bassey, Robinson; Palhinha, Reed; Wilson, Pereira, Willian; Muniz

UNAVAILABLE: Jimenez (Injured)

THE PREDICTION

What Gary O’Neil has built a good reputation of is the detail of his game management and tailoring game plans for specific opposition. This, both at Wolves and Bournemouth, has helped his teams pull off major upsets against front foot teams. Whilst a home win would not fall into the category of a major upset, Fulham are in the category of a front foot team. As a result, backing Wolves would seem a smart, value bet on Saturday afternoon.

TIP: WOLVES TO WIN
