THE LOWDOWN
WOLVES
There is another summer of uncertainty coming up for Wolverhampton Wanderers with Gary O’Neil already launching into a couple of attacks or at least question marks over Wolves’ potential summer transfer window. They have finished the season with a bit of a whimper after firmly establishing themselves in the middle-of-the-table.
Wolves come into this one on the back of their third defeat in four matches as they were hammered 5-1 by Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium with a goal from Julian Alvarez following four strikes from Erling Haaland. That means they have now managed just one win in their last nine matches across all competitions.
CRYSTAL PALACE
Following the departure of Roy Hodgson in late-February, Crystal Palace appointed 2022 UEFA Europa League winning coach Oliver Glasner. His reign began well with a 3-0 hammering of Burnley before soon fading and becoming a fairly worrying start. However, the Eagles now head into these final couple of weeks in fine form.
That fine form continued last week as Palace demolished a sorry Manchester United side by four goals to nil at Selhurst Park. Michael Olise opened the scoring before Jean-Philippe Mateta made it 2-0 before half-time. Tyrick Mitchell added a third before another fabulous Olise strike completed the hammering.
THE TEAM NEWS
WOLVES
Gary O'Neil will be able to welcome back midfielder Tommy Doyle for this weekend after he missed last week's clash with Manchester City as a result of being ineligible whilst on loan from City.
However, key man Pedro Neto remains unavailable due to injury, despite recently returning to training. Both Craig Dawson and Leon Chiwome are out for the rest of this season.
PREDICTED XI (3-5-2): Sa; Semedo, Kilman, Toti; Ait-Nouri, Joao Gomes, M. Lemina, Traore, H. Bueno; Hwang, Cunha
UNAVAILABLE: Dawson (Injured), Chiwome (Injured), Neto (Injured)
QUESTIONABLE: M. Lemina (Injured)
CRYSTAL PALACE
In his pre-match press conference, Oliver Glasner has confirmed that Jefferson Lerma is nearing a return from his hamstring injury but the midfielder is more likely to come back next weekend.
The Eagles do remain without several other first-teamers. Goalkeeper Sam Johnstone is still unavailable alongside the likes of Rob Holding, Cheick Doucoure and Matheus Franca.
PREDICTED XI (3-4-2-1): Henderson; Clyne, Andersen, Richards; Daniel Munoz, Wharton, Hughes, Mitchell; Olise, Eze; Mateta
UNAVAILABLE: Johnstone (Injured), Holding (Injured), Doucoure (Injured), Jefferson Lerma (Injured), Matheus Franca (Injured)

THE PREDICTION
These two teams are finishing the season very differently. Wolverhampton Wanderers will be set for another fairly turbulent summer whereby they go into next season as one of the potential relegation candidates, whilst Crystal Palace will hope to enjoy an impressive summer transfer window that sees them push towards the European places. There would appear only one way to really go for this one and backing Palace looks that way.
TIP: DOUBLE CHANCE – CRYSTAL PALACE TO WIN OR DRAW
