THE LOWDOWN
WEST HAM
- West Ham made it three straight Premier League victories in emphatic fashion this past Sunday, but ten-man Aston Villa to the sword by four goals to one in the West Midlands, keeping them in fourth-place heading into this latest round of league fixtures.
- Alex Kral has returned to training following his period of self-isolating after testing positive for Covid-19 and could make the squad for this match, however both Nikola Vlasic and Andriy Yarmolenko each face late fitness tests.
LIVERPOOL
- Liverpool bounced back from only managing to draw 2-2 with Brighton last Saturday, by beating Atletico Madrid 2-0 in their midweek Champions League clash, setting themselves up nicely for this one.
- Jurgen Klopp will be frustrated not to be able to call upon Roberto Firmino, who suffered an injury against Atletico and will join Harvey Elliott, Naby Keita and James Milner on the sidelines for this one, whilst Joe Gomez and Curtis Jones are also out for the Reds.

THE PREDICTION
West Ham have certainly proved that last season was no fluke and they are capable of going toe-to-toe with sides like Liverpool on a regular basis with the squad that they have. However, the Reds have proven a huge bogey team for West Ham over the years, with the Hammers having lost eight of their last nine Premier League fixtures against Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp. When taking into account the class and form of the visitors’ front three, it’s easy to see this trend continuing, with Liverpool also having the fortune of an extra rest day due to West Ham’s Europa League commitments. Therefore, back the visitors to narrowly come out on top in this one.
Tip: LIVERPOOL TO WIN
