THE LOWDOWN
WEST HAM
- West Ham picked up a much-needed 2-0 win over Wolves last weekend and followed that up with a third consecutive group stage win in the Europa Conference League on Thursday which made it four wins from the last five in all competitions for Davie Moyes’ men.
- Maxwel Cornet picked up a knock against Wolves and Moyes has confirmed he will miss out here, while striker Gianluca Scamacca is likely to be selected up front after scoring in successive games.
FULHAM
- Fulham suffered their heaviest defeat of the season when they were soundly beaten 1-4 by Newcastle last weekend with an early red card for Nathaniel Chalobah and a first-half injury to talisman Aleksandar Mitrovic certainly not helping matters.
- Mitrovic’s fitness is a concern for this fixture but the Serbian will be given every possible chance to feature, while Joao Palhinha should return to the side following the completion of his suspension for collecting five yellow cards.

FULHAM
PREDICTED XI (4-2-3-1): Leno; Mbabu, Diop, Ream, Robinson; Reed, Palhinha; Decordova-Reid, Andreas Pereira, James; Vinicius
UNAVAILABLE: Chalobah (Suspended), Wilson (Injured), Solomon (Injured)

THE PREDICTION
In terms of Fulham’s potency, much will depend on the fitness of Mitrovic here, who is rated as touch and go for this match. The Cottagers have been heavily reliant on their striker for goals this season, so his potential absence would certainly increase West Ham’s chances of success. After a difficult start to the season, West Ham are having a better time of it lately and in Scamacca they appear to have unearthed their own gem of a striker. With Jarrod Bowen also hitting his stride of late, a West Ham win looks on the cards.
TIP: WEST HAM TO WIN
