THE LOWDOWN

TOTTENHAM

  • Three defeats in their last four Premier League games is hardly ‘top four’ form from Spurs and there was more disappointment midweek when a fairly strong side lost to Nottingham Forest in the League Cup.
  • Dejan Kulusevski and Richarlison have both recently returned to the fold and Antonio Conte will be hoping they are in good enough shape to support Harry Kane in attack here, while Ryan Sessegnon will miss out with a minor complaint.

LEEDS UTD

  • The pressure was mounting on Jesse Marsch but two late victories in the Premier League – including a superb comeback against Bournemouth last weekend – have significantly raised spirits in the Leeds camp.
  • Jack Harrison faces a race against time due to a muscular injury while Patrick Bamford will take no part with the striker one of six players certain to miss out.

THE TEAM NEWS

TOTTENHAM

PREDICTED XI (3-4-3): Lloris; Dier, Lenglet, Davies; Emerson, Hojbjerg, Bentancur, Perisic; Kulusevski, Kane, Richarlison

UNAVAILABLE: Romero (Injured), Sessegnon (Injured), Son (Injured)

QUESTIONABLE: Lucas Moura (Injured)

LEEDS UTD

PREDICTED XI (4-2-3-1): Meslier; Kristensen, Koch, Cooper, Struijk; Adams, Roca; Harrison, Aaronson, Summerville; Rodrigo

UNAVAILABLE: Dallas (Injured), Forshaw (Fitness), Klich (Injured), Sinisterra (Injured), Gray (Injured), Bamford (Injured)

QUESTIONABLE: Harrison (Injured)

THE PREDICTION

Given recent poor results, Antonio Conte badly needs a result here ahead of the World Cup and the timely returns of Dejan Kulusevski and Richarlison could well aid him in that goal. Leeds have pulled some unlikely results out of the hat recently but they remain highly vulnerable in the defensive areas and if Spurs do show up here, the visitors will struggle to compete. Both teams scoring would certainly not be a surprise given Leeds’ recent Premier League games, but you’d have to fancy Spurs here on home turf.

TIP: TOTENHAM TO WIN
