THE LOWDOWN

TOTTENHAM

  • Tottenham bounced back from their North London Derby defeat by squeezing past Brighton in a tight game last weekend, and they backed that up with a Champions League victory over Frankfurt on Wednesday.
  • Emerson Royal continues his domestic suspension while Dejan Kulusevski is a confirmed absentee with Antonio Conte hoping the Swede will be fit for the midweek trip to Old Trafford.

EVERTON

  • Everton’s seven-game unbeaten run in all competitions was ended with a narrow defeat to Man Utd last time out and the Toffees now face another tough test against third-placed Spurs.
  • A fifth yellow card of the season against Man Utd ensures that Anthony Gordon will miss out here through suspension, while Dominic Calvert-Lewin is still not deemed fit enough for a start despite a bench appearance last time out.

THE PREDICTION

The last meeting between these two teams was a resounding 5-0 win for Tottenham back in March but Everton have stiffened up considerably since then, with no Premier League club conceding fewer goals than the Toffees this season. That resolve will be tested here though, as Harry Kane is scoring goals with typical regularity and Heung-Min Son is in the process of rediscovering his best form. With that in mind, a home win looks on the cards but it could be a narrow one, with under 2.5 goals a tempting betting market to add to your betslip.

TIP: TOTTENHAM TO WIN & UNDER 2.5 GOALS
