SOUTHAMPTON PREVIEW: STILL WINLESS

So far, Southampton have done little to convince onlookers that they are capable of staying in the Premier League beyond just a single season, as they are yet to pick up a victory from their seven league games to date, with their draw with fellow promoted side Ipswich the only time they have avoided defeat.

Their last outing before the international window was a 3-1 loss to Arsenal, but the Saints were in fact leading that contest at the hour mark before the Gunners rallied.

LEICESTER PREVIEW: FINDING THEIR FEET

Leicester went into the international break on a high after recording their first Premier League win of the season, and they find themselves out of the relegation zone heading into this weekend's fixtures.

The Foxes have lost just one of their last five games in all competitions, with their league victory over Bournemouth coming courtesy of a Facundo Buonanotte goal after 16 minutes.

SOUTHAMPTON TEAM NEWS: SULEMANA & SMALLBONE BACK BUT STEWART INJURED

After having his suspension extended by two matches, Jack Stephens will once again miss out, as will Ross Stewart who picked up an injury against Arsenal, although it won't keep him out for long according to head coach Russell Martin.

In welcome news, Kamaldeen Sulemana is available for the first time this season while Will Smallbone is expected to be in the squad again and could even start if Martin deems him ready.

PREDICTED XI (4-2-3-1): Ramsdale; Sugawara, Harwood-Bellis, Bednarek, Walker-Peters; Aribo, Downes, Fernandes; Dibling, Archer, Fraser

UNAVAILABLE: Bazunu (Injured), Stephens (Suspended), Stewart (Injured)

LEICESTER TEAM NEWS: THREE STILL OUT BUT VERSTERGAARD FIT

Steve Cooper reported no change in the treatment room with Jakub Stolarczyk, Hamza Choudhury and Patson Daka the injured parties, but all are making good progress in their respective recoveries and should be available before the end of the year.

Defender Jannik Vestergaard, who hasn't been part of the Foxes squad since August, played two full matches for Denmark in the UEFA Nations League and is surely now fit enough to be considered for selection.

PREDICTED XI (4-2-3-1): Hermansen; Justin, Faes, Okoli, Kristiansen; Ndidi, Skipp; Buonanotte, Ayew, Mavididi; Vardy

UNAVAILABLE: Stolarczyk (Injured), Choudhury (Injured), Daka (Injured)

SOUTHAMPTON VS LEICESTER PREDICTION

Two of the promoted sides do battle here in a game that both managers will be expecting to get something from. It is Leicester who have shown more about them this season though, with Steve Cooper's men grinding out results in impressive fashion.

Southampton look a little out of their depth right now. They lost heavily to Leicester in their two Championship meetings last season by an aggregate score of 1-9, and another Foxes win looks the likelier outcome here.
