THE LOWDOWN
NOTTINGHAM FOREST
- Nottingham Forest were mere minutes away from a second successive Premier League win last week before having to settle for a point at Everton but Steve Cooper will nonetheless be satisfied with his team – who also progressed in the League Cup on Tuesday – in these early stages of the season.
- Forest have been one of the more active teams in the transfer market but one of their recent recruits – Morgan Gibbs-White – is touch and go to feature here after picking up a knock against Everton, while Emmanuel Dennis is pushing for a first league start at his new club.
TOTTENHAM
- A solitary Harry Kane goal gave Spurs victory in a tight game against Wolves last weekend and manager Antonio Conte must surely see seven points from nine so far as a satisfactory return, especially given that he is yet to see his side perform to their potential.
- Ivan Perisic came into the side to good effect against Wolves and could keep his place in the left wing-back position, although that is a spot that is likely to be rotated frequently in the coming weeks given the busy schedule.

THE PREDICTION
Forest have applied themselves well since their return to the Premier League and they continue to add numbers to their squad in the transfer market in a bid to compete at the top level. Spurs, meanwhile, are ticking along nicely and the fact they have yet to really hit top gear is a positive sign as we head into a busy period of fixtures. With Dean Henderson in fine form in the Forest goal, Steve Cooper’s outfit have conceded just once so far this season, and could well frustrate the visitors in the same way that they kept West Ham at bay in their last home game. You’d expect Kane, Son and co. to find a way through eventually, but a low-scoring game looks on the cards.
