THE LOWDOWN
NOTTINGHAM FOREST
- A Mathias Jorgensen own goal deep into stoppage-time earned Nottingham Forest a dramatic late point against Brentford last weekend and Steve Cooper’s side followed that up with an impressive midweek victory over Spurs in the League Cup.
- Scott Mckenna and Cheikhou Kouyate were both absent from the League Cup encounter with knocks and they need to be assessed for their involvement ahead of Saturday’s fixture.
CRYSTAL PALACE
- Although Patrick Vieira will have been disappointed with his side’s League Cup exit midweek, he can have few complaints about their Premier League results right now with their latest league encounter seeing them clinch a last-gasp victory at West Ham.
- Wilfried Zaha operated in a more central role against West Ham to good effect and Vieira could deploy the same tactic here, especially as orthodox striker Odsonne Edouard is a doubt to feature.

THE PREDICTION
Nottingham Forest may have picked things up a bit lately but bottom of the Premier League they remain and they will have their work cut out here against an in-form Crystal Palace side who are playing with a good degree of confidence. Palace finally got their first away win in the Premier League since April last week and would dearly love to go back-to-back, but Forest have been impressive at the City Ground of late, with wins over Liverpool and most recently Tottenham in the League Cup catching the eye. This should be a competitive affair between two teams who have reason to believe they can get a result, and a draw could very well be on the cards.
