THE LOWDOWN
MAN UTD
- Man Utd come into this match on the back of having not lost in their last seven Premier League games, most recently beating bitter rivals Leeds Utd 2-4 at Elland Road, but with a short turnaround between their Champions League round of 16 first leg against Atletico Madrid and this match, Ralph Rangnick’s side will be tested.
- Midfielder Scott McTominay did not feature in Madrid due to illness and will not recover in time to play a part against the Hornets, while striker Edinson Cavani will also miss out through injury.
WATFORD
- Watford failed to build on their excellent 0-1 win away to Aston Villa last weekend as they were comprehensively beaten 1-4 in midweek by Crystal Palace, keeping them four points adrift of safety.
- The trio of Peter Etebo, Juraj Kucka and Joao Pedro all failed to be passed fit for the clash with Palace and boss Roy Hodgson will be hoping to have at least one of the three available here, while Josh King is also a doubt but has been training.

THE PREDICTION
Whilst Man Utd are far from the finished article, no one can deny that they have improved over the past couple of weeks. Successive Premier League victories are a testament to that and against a Watford side who have struggled all season long regardless of who has been in charge, the Red Devils will be expected to maintain their positive run of results. After being thrashed 4-1 by the Hornets in the reverse fixture, which led to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s departure as manager, revenge will be on Man Utd’s mind and they are expected to gain it here, so back them to win at Old Trafford.
Tip: MAN UTD TO WIN
