THE LOWDOWN
MAN UTD
Erik ten Hag has come under significant pressure this week as Manchester United did the very crisis club act of banning journalists from their pre-match press conference ahead of the game against Chelsea in midweek. The Red Devils earned a vital 2-1 victory over The Blues on Wednesday evening with a brace from Scott McTominay.
It does not change the fact that this iteration of Manchester United is, quite frankly, a bad one. They have managed 11 victories in 22 matches across all competitions so far this season with nine of those wins coming by a solitary goal and several of those wins requiring a dramatic turnaround or grand stand finish.
BOURNEMOUTH
After a difficult start to the season, Andoni Iraola is beginning to make his mark down on the south coast with The Cherries becoming one of the standout and in-form teams in the Premier League as they try and put some space between themselves and those down in the battle against being in the bottom three and the relegation places.
AFC Bournemouth come into this one on the back of an impressive 2-0 defeat of Crystal Palace in their most recent outing, last weekend. The visitors have now collected ten points from their last four matches with victories against Sheffield United and Newcastle United as well as a thrilling 2-2 draw against seeming title challengers, Aston Villa.
THE TEAM NEWS
MAN UTD
For the first time in a long time, Erik ten Hag has very few fresh injury concerns for this weekend and could name an unchanged eleven for the visit of Bournemouth. Only Raphael Varane is a new doubt for this weekend.
The likes of Lisandro Martinez and Tyrell Malacia remain unavailable due to injury, though, with midfield duo Casemiro and Christian Eriksen also still missing.
PREDICTED XI (4-2-3-1): Onana; Wan-Bissaka, Maguire, Lindelof, Shaw; McTominay, Amrabat; Antony, Fernandes, Garnacho; Hojlund
UNAVAILABLE: Martinez (Injured), Malacia (Injured), Casemiro (Injured), Eriksen (Injured), Sancho (Disciplinary), Diallo (Injured)
QUESTIONABLE: Varane (Injured), Rashford (Illness)
BOURNEMOUTH
Given how impressive their recent form has been, it would not be a surprise to see Bournemouth name an unchanged eleven this weekend - not that he has much choice, though.
The Cherries have something of an injury crisis with the continued absence of summer signings Tyler Adams, Alex Scott and Max Aarons, as well as the likes of Lloyd Kelly and Ryan Fredericks.
PREDICTED XI (4-2-3-1): Neto; Smith, Zabarnyi, Senesi, Kerkez; Cook, Christie; Semenyo, Kluivert, Sinisterra; Solanke
UNAVAILABLE: Randolph (Illness), Aarons (Injured), Kelly (Injured), Scott (Injured), Adams (Injured), Fredericks (Injured), Traore (Illness), Marcondes (Injured)

THE PREDICTION
Manchester United aren’t very good. They edged past a Chelsea team that are also not very good. Yet they somehow sit just three point off the top four and six off the top-of-the-table. They have found a way, even when playing way below par, to defeat the teams in the mid-to-lower parts of the league. They now face a Bournemouth side that have really turned their form around as they try and aim towards the top-half of the table. The Cherries will go and attack at Old Trafford so, whilst United remain favourites, it could be quite an entertaining encounter.
