THE LOWDOWN
MAN CITY
- Two goals down at home to Tottenham at half-time this past Thursday, Man City’s title hopes felt like they were in the balance, but a barnstorming second-half blitz led by the imperious Riyad Mahrez saw them emerge 4-2 winners at the Etihad Stadium.
- As it stands, Pep Guardiola has no injury worries, giving him a welcome selection dilemma, although what is clear is that Mahrez has surely played himself into an un-droppable position following that Spurs showing.
WOLVES
- Although Wolves suffered midweek disappointment in the FA Cup, their last Premier League outing resulted in a pivotal victory against West Ham with every point currently so important in the relegation battle.
- Little has changed on the injury front for Wolves with the same players unavailable and not ready to return, although new signing Pablo Sarabia could feature at some point.

THE PREDICTION
Man City clearly had a fire lit up their backsides at half-time on Thursday night whether that came from the manager or the players themselves and they responded accordingly. Provided they can maintain the same intensity and high level of performance shown in the second-half against Spurs, then they should prove far too strong for Wolves, although the away side have had success against Guardiola’s men previously through sitting back and utilising the pace of players such as Adama Traore on the break. Despite this though, Man City are still expected to triumph here.
