THE TEAM NEWS

MAN CITY

Rodri returns from his three-match ban and will slot straight back into defensive midfield, and could possibly be partnered by John Stones, who featured for England on international duty.

Kevin De Bruyne is therefore the only absentee in the City camp, although Julian Alvarez may see his minutes managed following his exertions in South America.

PREDICTED XI (4-2-3-1): Ederson; Walker, Akanji, Dias, Gvardiol; Stones, Rodri; Foden, Alvarez, Grealish; Haaland

UNAVAILABLE: De Bruyne (Injured)

QUESTIONABLE:

BRIGHTON

Left-backs Pervis Estupinan and Tariq Lamptey are both unavailable so Solly March could deputise in that position once more, although fit-again James Milner is another option given the veteran's versatility.

Kaoru Mitoma appears to haver overcome a recent illness and should be available for selection.

PREDICTED XI (4-2-3-1): Steele, Veltman, Webster, Dunk, March; Gross, Gilmour; Adingra, Fati, Mitoma; Ferguson

UNAVAILABLE: Estupinan (Injured), Lamptey (Injured), Enciso (Injured)

QUESTIONABLE: Moder (Fitness)

THE PREDICTION

With Man City having lost three of their last four games in all competitions, the international break probably came at a good time for them as it will have allowed them to reset and recharge. Indeed, the return of the influential Rodri from suspension should settle them down considerably, and they have to be favoured here against a Brighton side who are winless in their last four competitive games. The Seagulls' games always contain goals, so a high-scoring Man City win is in the offing.

TIP: MAN CITY TO WIN & OVER 3.5 GOALS
