THE LOWDOWN
LIVERPOOL
- Liverpool could only play out a 0-0 draw away at Crystal Palace this past weekend, making this match even more important from their perspective.
- Victory here for the Reds would see them move to within six points of the top four and would also take them above Fulham in the Premier League table on goal difference.
WOLVES
- A point from their last two league matches has Wolves once again staring nervously over their shoulders with them just three points above the relegation places.
- Until 2023, Wolves had lost eight of their last nine in all competitions against Jurgen Klopp’s side, but a comprehensive 3-0 win at Molineux in the reverse fixture between the two clubs was Wolves’ first victory over Liverpool since January 2019 in the FA Cup.

THE PREDICTION
Liverpool cannot afford to drop points here, but at the same time will be well aware of the threat that Wolves pose, especially after Julen Lopetegui’s side blew them away in Wolverhampton earlier in the year. The Reds however, are a different beast at Anfield, where Wolves have not won in the Premier League since 2010. Expect a close contest with the visitors making themselves difficult to break down with a view to hitting Liverpool on the counter-attack. Ultimately though, backing Jurgen Klopp’s men to win has to be favoured.
TIP: LIVERPOOL TO WIN
