LIVERPOOL TEAM NEWS: CHIESA CLOSE BUT ELLIOTT OUT FOR THE FORESEEABLE FUTURE

Harvey Elliott is set for a spell on the sidelines after he sustained a fractured foot over the international break, while summer arrival Federico Chiesa has taken part in training and could be involved.

Arnie Slot will assess his players returning from international duty, especially his South American contingent, and could be tempted into one or two changes to keep his side fresh.

PREDICTED XI (4-2-3-1): Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Konate, Van Dijk, Robertson; Mac Allister, Gravenberch; Salah, Szoboszlai, Diaz; Jota

UNAVAILABLE: Elliott (Injured)

QUESTIONABLE: Chiesa (Injured)

NOTTINGHAM FOREST TEAM NEWS: UNCERTAINY OVER BOLY AND SANGARE

Wilfried Boly and Ibrahim Sangare have to be assessed after picking up injuries over the break, while Danilo is the only player 100% ruled out of this fixture.

Chris Wood came back late from international duty but, given his recent form, is unlikely to be left out. Summer arrivals Morato and James Ward-Prowse, meanwhile, are on the verge of being integrated into first-team affairs.

PREDICTED XI (4-2-3-1): Sels; Williams, Milenkovic, Murillo, Aina; Dominguez, Yates; Elanga, Gibbs-White, Hudson-Odoi; Wood

UNAVAILABLE: Danilo (Injured)

QUESTIONABLE: Boly (Injured), Sangare (Injured)

LIVERPOOL VS NOTTINGHAM FOREST PREDICTION

With three wins from three in the league and no goals conceded, few can argue with how well Arnie Slot has settled into life in the Liverpool hot seat. Last season's runners-up now run into another unbeaten side with Nottingham Forest currently sitting on five points after a win at Southampton was sandwiched between 1-1 draws with Bournemouth and Wolves.

The visitors haven't faced a team of the quality of Liverpool in the Premier League this season though, and as was the case in both their meetings in 2023-24, a win to nil for the Reds could be the outcome.
