LEICESTER PREVIEW: CONSECUTIVE WINS

After failing to win any of their first six Premier League games since their promotion from the Championship, Leicester have now won their last two league games. The last time they managed three in a row in the top division was January 2021.

The victory over fellow promoted side Southampton last weekend was a dramatic turnaround. Heading into the last 30 minutes 2-0 down to the Saints, Facundo Buonanotte, Jamie Vardy and Jordan Ayew completed a superb turnaround for the Foxes and ensured that there is a six-point buffer between themselves and the relegation zone.

NOTTINGHAM FOREST PREVIEW: ONWARDS & UPWARDS

Nottingham Forest continue to be something of a surprise package in this season's Premier League with Nuno Espirito Santo's men having lost just one of their opening eight games, while they have conceded just six goals to date.

Santo's men were 1-0 victors over Crystal Palace on Monday evening, with in-form Chris Wood finding the net for the fifth time this season. Among out-and-out forwards, only Erling Haaland has scored more at this stage of the league campaign.

LEICESTER TEAM NEWS: VESTERGAARD SETBACK

Despite featuring for Denmark in the UEFA Nations League recently, defender Jannik Vestergaard has suffered a recurrence of his ankle injury, although Steve Cooper doesn't think he will be out for too long.

Jakub Stolarczyk, Hamza Choudhury and Patson Daka are the other three absentees, with the latter said to be making good progress in his recovery.

PREDICTED XI (4-2-3-1): Hermansen; Justin, Faes, Okoli, Kristiansen; Ndidi, Skipp; Buonanotte, El Khannouss, Mavididi; Vardy

UNAVAILABLE: Stolarczyk (Injured), Vestergaard (Injured), Choudhury (Injured), Daka (Injured)

NOTTINGHAM FOREST TEAM NEWS: WARD-PROWSE BACK & GIBBS-WHITE CLOSE

James Ward-Prowse should slot straight back into midfield after completing his suspension, although it's not so clear cut when it comes to Morgan Gibbs-White. The 24-year-old has also served his ban, but is touch and go in his battle to recover from a foot injury.

Danilo and Ibrahim Sangare are the other injured parties in the Forest treatment room.

PREDICTED XI (4-2-3-1): Sels; Aina, Milenkovic, Murillo, Moreno; Yates, Ward-Prowse; Elanga, Anderson, Hudson-Odoi; Wood

UNAVAILABLE: Danilo (Injured), Sangare (Injured)

QUESTIONABLE: Gibbs-White (Injured)

LEICESTER VS NOTTINGHAM FOREST PREDICTION

Both Leicester and Nottingham Forest have reason to be pleased about their recent efforts and will come into this fixture in high spirits in what is the first Friday evening fixture in the Premier League since the opening weekend of the season.

Forest are a lot more solid at the back this season, although they are a little reliant on Chris Wood providing the goods at the other end of the pitch. He has very much been fulfilling his end of the bargain to date, so the Foxes will be keen to snuff out his supply lines. The visitors have contested plenty of low-scoring games this season, and this could be no different.

LEICESTER VS NOTTINGHAM FOREST TIP: UNDER 2.5 GOALS
