THE LOWDOWN

LEICESTER

  • Leicester’s damaging 2-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest last Saturday capped off what was a miserable week for them after having been knocked out of the Carabao Cup by Newcastle a few days earlier.
  • Midfielders Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and James Maddison have both trained this week and face late fitness tests to determine their involvement in this game.

BRIGHTON

  • Brighton pulled off what was surely their most impressive win of the season this past weekend, comprehensively beating Liverpool by three goals to nil, a huge scalp for Roberto De Zerbi.
  • Leandro Trossard has kicked his last ball for the Seagulls and is expected to complete a move to Premier League leaders Arsenal imminently, with the transfer possibly even being completed before kick-off here.

THE PREDICTION

Brighton’s free flowing, offensive style of play on paper is expected to reap rewards against a Leicester side who have reverted back to what they were early on in the season, defensively poor and ripe for exploitation by sides with high-quality attacking players at their disposal. The potential availability of both Dewsbury-Hall and Maddison should improve the Foxes considerably but regardless of this, Brighton are well-placed to gain at least a point if not all three at the King Power Stadium. Back them to do this via the double chance market.

TIP: DOUBLE CHANCE – DRAW/BRIGHTON
