THE LOWDOWN
LEEDS UTD
- Leeds United sacked Jesse Marsch at the start of the week before their 2-2 draw with Manchester United at Old Trafford on Wednesday. Leeds’ tactics remained quite similar to when Marsch was in charge and a new manager is yet to have been appointed by the Yorkshire club.
- Pascal Struijk missed out due to a concussion sustained midweek, but Luis Sinisterra could well be available after also coming off early in that match.
MAN UTD
- Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United come into this on the back of the aforementioned 2-2 draw with Leeds United, in which they fought back from 2-0 down. In-form Marcus Rashford scored before the returning Jadon Sancho earned The Red Devils a point.
- Ten Hag admitted it was hugely unlikely that Scott McTominay, Antony and Anthony Martial will return for the trip to Elland Road, while Aaron Wan-Bissaka will be assessed after missing the midweek fixture with illness.

THE PREDICTION
Since Leeds’ return to the Premier League, this game has thrown up a couple of high-scoring thrillers, both behind closed doors and in a raucous Elland Road atmosphere like last season. The two sets of supporters’ despise each other in what is a Roses match. Leeds have some excellent players and put in some impressive but ineffective attacking performances under the management of Marsch. Manchester United are still challenging towards the top-of-the-table but will continue to be without key players such as Casemiro, Christian Eriksen and the in-form Aaron Wan-Bissaka for this match. Despite that, any result other than a United win would remain very surprising, as it was on Wednesday evening.
