That's now successive 1-1 draws in the Premier League after they were held by Ipswich prior to the international break, and they were eliminated from the League Cup on Tuesday with a penalty shoot-out loss to Championship strugglers Preston.
NEWCASTLE PREVIEW: DIGGING DEEP
Newcastle have seemingly developed the knack of winning games without playing well, with their come-from-behind win over Wolves last week maintaining their unbeaten start to the Premier League season.
The Magpies have picked up ten points from a possible 12 so far, and Eddie How will surely be delighted with that return given that they have more gears to move through.
