THE LOWDOWN
FULHAM
Marco Silva led Fulham back into the Premier League in 2022 and they have generally spent two seasons defying expectations with fairly haphazard or at least unusual recruitment strategies leading them into both seasons as one of the leading contenders to struggle but in both seasons they have been comfortably mid-table.
Their 3-0 hammering of capital city rivals Tottenham Hotspur before the March international break left them firmly in the middle-of-the-table once again but since then they have very much been ‘on the beach’. The Cottagers goalless draw with Brentford in another London derby last weekend means they have managed just one win in their last seven matches.
MAN CITY
Pep Guardiola and Manchester City have an FA Cup final against city rivals Manchester United at Wembley Stadium to look forward to in a few weeks but in the meantime they will be aiming to beat Arsenal to top spot in the Premier League with the Cityzens sitting a point behind the league leading Gunners but they do have a game in hand.
City have been relentless since a mini blip in form in the early autumn. They come into this one on the back of a 5-1 thrashing of Wolverhampton Wanderers at the Etihad Stadium last weekend with Julian Alvarez notching the fifth after Erling Haaland scored four. City have now enjoyed six successive victories in the league.
THE TEAM NEWS
FULHAM
Marco Silva has been one of the few managers in the league that has been blessed with a fully fit and available squad for much of the campaign. However, he does have a minor issue for this one.
Serbian international midfielder Sasa Lukic is still dealing with a 'small issue in his calf' but everybody else is fully fit and available but Tosin Adarabioyo is expected to remain out of the squad.
PREDICTED XI (4-2-3-1): Leno; Castagne, Diop, Bassey, Robinson; Joao Palhinha, Reed; Iwobi, Pereira, Willian; Rodrigo Muniz
UNAVAILABLE:
QUESTIONABLE: Lukic (Injured)
MAN CITY
Alongside Marco Silva, Pep Guardiola has also been blessed with a fully fit and available squad for large parts of this season and that is once again the case this weekend.
The former Barcelona and Bayern Munich boss has confirmed that they have no issues for this one at Craven Cottage but they could rotate ahead of the clash with Tottenham Hotspur this week.
PREDICTED XI (4-1-4-1): Ederson; Walker, Stones, Ake, Gvardiol; Rodri; Foden, De Bruyne, Bernardo Silva, Grealish; Haaland
UNAVAILABLE:

THE PREDICTION
Fulham have taken the game to and beaten several of the bigger sides in the Premier League this season. For example, they took four points off title challenging Arsenal as well as enjoyed wins against Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur. Manchester City, though, in the groove they are in with the experience they have are just another level, though, and with the awareness it could very well come down to goal difference this season, they will be aiming to really rack up a score at Craven Cottage.
TIP: MAN CITY TO WIN -1 HANDICAP
