THE LOWDOWN

FULHAM

Fulham got their Premier League campaign off to a winning start against Everton last weekend but they had Bernd Leno to thank for the points as their goalkeeper made a string of saves to keep Everton at bay.

Substitute Bobby De-Cordova Reid scored the only goal of the game in the 73rd minute, but the Cottagers were admittedly fortunate to hold on, and against more ruthless opposition, they surely would not have collected all three points.

BRENTFORD

An entertaining 2-2 draw with Tottenham began Brentford's season last Sunday in a match which left Bees boss Thomas Frank with mixed emotions.

It was a poor start from the hosts with Cristian Romero putting Spurs ahead after just 11 minutes, but a Bryan Mbeumo penalty midway through the first half, followed by a Yoane Wissa strike a little under ten minutes later, put Brentford in the driving seat. That looked set to be the score at half-time, only for Emerson Royal to score a stunner just before the break. Both sides had opportunities to go ahead in the second half but they were not able to convert, and it ended honours even.

THE TEAM NEWS

FULHAM

Amid speculation of a move to the Saudi Pro League, Aleksandar Mitrovic has been ruled out with an ankle injury, but in better news Joao Palhinha should make the squad and could even start if deemed fit enough.

PREDICTED XI (4-3-3): Leno; Tete, Diop, Ream, Robinson; Reed, Lukic; Wilson, Pereira, Willian; Jimenez

UNAVAILABLE: Mitrovic (Injured)

QUESTIONABLE: Palhinha (Injured)

BRENTFORD

There were question marks over Mathias Jensen's condition after the midfielder was brought off against Spurs, but Thomas Frank has dismissed those fears and stated that he will start, while the Bees boss has plenty of options at his disposal given that he has a near full squad available.

PREDICTED XI (3-5-2): Flekken; Collins, Pinnock, Ajer; Hickey, Jensen, Norgaard, Janelt, Henry; Mbeumo, Wissa

UNAVAILABLE: Toney (Suspended)

QUESTIONABLE: Mee (Injured)

THE PREDICTION

Given how many chances Fulham conceded to Everton last weekend, Brentford will be confident of causing them the same problems here, especially as they proved last weekend that they can find the back of the net in the absence of the suspended Ivan Toney. Much of Fulham's resilience may depend on whether Joao Palhinha is fit to return to the side, so it is worth monitoring the team news ahead of this one. Draw no bet on the visitors is worth considering, though.

TIP: BRENTFORD DRAW NO BET
