THE LOWDOWN
FULHAM
- Fulham twice came from behind to claim a 2-2 draw with fellow promoted side Bournemouth on Saturday but just one win from their last five Premier League games will be of some concern to manager Marco Silva.
- Silva will have been pleased to see talisman Aleksandar Mitrovic come through the Bournemouth game unscathed and the Serbian should line up again here, while Nathaniel Chalobah completes his three-game suspension.
ASTON VILLA
- The 0-2 defeat to Chelsea on Sunday was Aston Villa’s first defeat in five games but with just one win in that stretch, the pressure is still palpable for Steven Gerrard.
- Tyrone Mings had an afternoon to forget against Chelsea and is a slight doubt for this fixture after picking up an injury at the end of the game, while Gerrard still has plenty of other absentees in defence.

THE PREDICTION
Neither side are winning many games right now with just two to speak of in their last ten games combined, but it’s fair to say Villa boss Steven Gerrard will be feeling more pressure right now. A lack of creativity in the attacking areas has been a recurring theme for the Midlands club, while defensive injuries – and costly mistakes by those available – are certainly not helping matters. It would be no surprise to see them concede again here, while Fulham have only kept one clean sheet this season, so both teams scoring is a reasonable assumption.
TIP: BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE
