THE LOWDOWN
EVERTON
- Three successive defeats have seen Everton fall down the table but their fixture run gets a little kinder now and Frank Lampard will be banking on his side stopping the rot here at home to Crystal Palace.
- Lampard has a big decision to make regarding whether Dominic Calvert-Lewin gets a second consecutive start with Neal Maupay waiting in the wings should the manager play it cautiously.
CRYSTAL PALACE
- Crystal Palace were thoroughly deserving of their 2-1 victory over Wolves on Tuesday and that is now seven points collected from the last nine for Patrick Vieira’s men.
- The Eagles have enjoyed a longer recovery time than most teams so Vieira will likely opt for a similar line-up to the one that beat Wolves, and it wouldn’t be a huge surprise to see an unchanged XI.

THE PREDICTION
After seeing what happened to old midfield rival Steven Gerrard this week, Frank Lampard will certainly want to see Everton’s losing streak come to an end here but they run into a dangerous Crystal Palace side who have several players capable of making the difference. The Goodison Park faithful will do their bit though, and with Dominic Calvert-Lewin approaching full fitness, you can see them finding the net here. Palace have played some excellent attacking football of late however, so backing both teams to score seems like a reasonable investment.
TIP: BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE
