THE LOWDOWN

CRYSTAL PALACE

Crystal Palace suffered their heaviest defeat of the season last weekend when they were dismantled by Newcastle in a 4-0 loss, but this fixture sees them return home to Selhurst Park, where they are unbeaten since the opening weekend of the season.

Roy Hodgson's side were never really in Saturday's contest with Newcastle, going behind early to a lobbed effort from Jacob Murphy, before Anthony Gordon and Sean Longstaff extended the hosts' advantage just before the break. The Magpies continued to control the game in the second half, with Callum Wilson adding the gloss to a comfortable victory.

TOTTENHAM

Tottenham maintained their position at the top of the Premier League table thanks to a 2-0 victory over Fulham on Monday, and Ange Postecoglou's men have a chance to extend their lead - at least temporarily - to five points with another victory here.

It was their usual protagonists Heung-Min Son and James Maddison who made the difference against the Cottagers, with both getting on the scoresheet in the victory. Spurs remain one of just two sides yet to lose a game in the Premier League this season.

THE TEAM NEWS

CRYSTAL PALACE

Jeffrey Schlupp is set to return to the squad and represents a tempting option for Hodgson should he wish to change things up following the defeat to Newcastle.

Nathan Ferguson has suffered yet another setback while playing for the U21 team and joins Den Henderson, James Tomkins, Michael Olise and Eberechi Eze on the sidelines.

PREDICTED XI (4-3-3): Johnstone; Ward, Andersen, Guehi, Mitchell; Lerma, Doucoure, Hughes; Ayew, Mateta, Edouard

UNAVAILABLE: Henderson (Injured), Tomkins (Injured), Ferguson (Injured), Olise (Injured), Eze (Injured)

QUESTIONABLE:

TOTTENHAM

Destiny Udogie picked up a knock against Fulham and is a doubt for this fixture, with Ben Davies ready to step in if needed. Pape Matar Sarr, meanwhile, is fit and available after a recent bout of illness.

Yves Bissouma has completed his suspension, so Postecgolou needs to decide whether to bring the Malian international straight back into the starting line-up.

PREDICTED XI (4-2-3-1): Vicario; Porro, Romero, Van de Ven, Udogie; Sarr, Bissouma; Kulusevski, Maddison, Richarlison; Son

UNAVAILABLE: Whiteman (Injured), Sessegnon (Injured), Perisic (Injured), Bentancur (Fitness), Solomon (Injured)

QUESTIONABLE: Udogie (Injured)

THE PREDICTION

Tottenham continue to prove they mean business this season as they head into this fixture sitting top of the Premier League table, but they will be all too aware that Selhurst Park is never an easy place to come away with a result from. Indeed, Spurs have won just one of the last five meetings between the two sides on the Eagles' home turf. However, Ange Postecoglou's men seem to have found the knack of winning, and they remain unbeaten in the league. With Messrs Maddison and Son in fine form, we're expecting the visitors to come away from this fixture with another three points.

TIP: TOTTENHAM TO WIN
