THE PREDICTION
Chelsea have had a full week to recover from their Club World Cup exploits and will be ready to dive back into Premier League action at Selhurst Park. Whilst they are still not at full strength with both of Thomas Tuchel’s first-choice full-backs injured, the Blues boast a formidable squad capable of competing on multiple fronts heading into the business end of the season. Crystal Palace won’t prove pushovers, but they are heavily weakened by the absence of Gallagher and Chelsea are expected to dominate possession here. Provided they can successfully neutralise the threat Palace pose on the counter-attack with their pace, then the visitors should emerge triumphant in this one.
