THE LOWDOWN
CHELSEA
Mauricio Pochettino was left deflated and frustrated after Chelsea were denied a late winning goal at Villa Park due to a VAR decision. The Blues were 2-0 down at half-time but stirred well in the second-half before Axel Disasi had what he believed to be a winner ruled out for a push in the back of Diego Carlos in the build-up.
The Blues have been thrilling to watch throughout the campaign but have underperformed as they sit in mid-table, a few points off the top seven and the European spots. Their 33 matches in the Premier League has consisted of 122 goals. Their last eight matches have had a combined total of 39 goals in the league.
TOTTENHAM
Tottenham Hotspur begin the weekend’s round of fixtures sitting outside of the top four and the UEFA Champions League spots with Ange Postecoglou’s side now desperate for a victory as they head across to Stamford Bridge in west London. They come into this one on the back of back-to-back losses.
Spurs nearly produced their own thrilling comeback at the weekend, though, as they suffered a 3-2 loss at home to Arsenal. Arsenal were 3-0 up at half-time before Tottenham brought the game back in the second-half. That loss followed on from a 4-0 annihilation at the hands of Newcastle United a few weeks ago.
THE TEAM NEWS
CHELSEA
Mauricio Pochettino has confirmed that Chelsea are down to just 11 senior first-team players after yet more injuries this week as defenders Thiago Silva and Axel Disasi are now sidelined.
With the Brazilian and French centre-backs stepping away, though, two players have resumed full training in Levi Colwill and Christopher Nkunku. There are several others in 'partial' training, too, such as Robert Sanchez, Reece James, Lesley Ugochukwu and Raheem Sterling.
PREDICTED XI (4-2-3-1): Petrovic; Gilchrist, Chalobah, Badiashile, Cucurella; Gallagher, Moises Caicedo; Madueke, Palmer, Mudryk; Jackson

QUESTIONABLE:
TOTTENHAM
Tottenham Hotspur are going to be without a couple of key first-teamers for this week's London derby against Chelsea as both Ben Davies and Timo Werner are out with calf and hamstring injury issues respectively.
They have joined a relatively long injury list that includes the likes of goalkeeper Fraser Forster, defender Destiny Udogie and Israeli international attacker Manor Solomon.
PREDICTED XI (4-2-3-1): Vicario; Pedro Porro, Romero, Van de Ven, Emerson Royal; Bentancur, Hojbjerg; Kulusevski, Maddison, Johnson; Son
UNAVAILABLE: Forster (Injured), Davies (Injured), Udogie (Injured), Sessegnon (Injured), Solomon (Injured), Werner (Injured)
QUESTIONABLE: Skipp (Injured)
THE PREDICTION
This is a ‘proper’ rivalry between two London clubs and has the potential to be a real thriller, especially with Mauricio Pochettino up against his former side. Tottenham have enjoyed an improvement in the mood since the appointment of Postecoglou but it could end up being a fairly underwhelming season if they miss out on the top four. They only play one way, though, so will travel to their capital city rivals and try to get on the front foot, whilst Chelsea have, as mentioned, been thrilling at both ends throughout the campaign. Both teams scoring seems almost inevitable for this one.
TIP: BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE
