THE LOWDOWN
BURNLEY
- Burnley find themselves in deep trouble following their loss last weekend against Newcastle, which also saw them lose key attacking player Maxwel Cornet to a strained thigh that rules him out of this match.
- Cornet has an outside chance of featuring but could join Ashley Barnes and Dale Stephens on the sidelines whilst defenders Phil Bardsley and Ben Mee are also doubtful for the visit of West Ham.
WEST HAM
- A magnificent 3-2 victory for West Ham against Chelsea came at a cost for manager David Moyes, who is now down to just two fit senior centre-backs following an injury to Kurt Zouma in that match.
- Moyes has been afforded some positive news with the return of Aaron Cresswell to training and should he be passed fit, Cresswell will likely line up on the left side of a back three with last weekend’s match winner Arthur Masuaku starting at left-wing-back in place of the injured Ben Johnson.

THE PREDICTION
Both these sides head into this encounter without important figures in Cornet and Zouma respectively, albeit at opposite ends of the pitch, however West Ham appear best placed to cope with their missing players. It’s very difficult to see where the goals will come from for Burnley without Cornet available and the Hammers have an excellent opportunity to capitalise here at Turf Moor. West Ham’s win over Chelsea once again underlined the quality of their team and why they find themselves inside the Premier League’s top four fully on merit. With their first team afforded a rest from European action in midweek, the visitors come into this one refreshed and ready to pick up where they left off last week, so with that in mind West Ham are well worth backing in this one, although consider doing so via the draw no bet market for added security.
