BRIGHTON PREVIEW: STRONG START FOR HURZELER

The Seagulls find themselves in a comfortable top-half position following consecutive Premier League victories and they will now seek a third straight league win for only the second time since October 2018. They are also unbeaten in their six home games in all competitions in 2024-25.

Fabian Hurzeler's side produced an excellent 0-1 victory away at Newcastle last weekend, with Danny Welbeck scoring his fifth goal of the season in the 35th minute.

WOLVES PREVIEW: ROCK-BOTTOM

Wolves came agonisingly close to taking a point from reigning champions Man City last weekend but John Stones' injury-time winner silenced the Molineux crowd.

The fact remains, however, that the west midlands side are bottom of the Premier League table having taken just a single point from their opening eight games, and manager Gary O'Neil desperately needs a positive result here to ease the pressure he must be feeling.

BRIGHTON TEAM NEWS: MINTEH & WELBECK DOUBTS

Danny Welbeck is rated as 50/50 to feature after suffering a back injury against Newcastle, but James Milner and Joao Pedro are definitely out, as are Adam Webster, Matt O'Riley and Solly March.

Yankuba Minteh is being assessed day-by-day for a muscle complaint, with Simon Adingra - a full week of training behind him - waiting in the wings for a start.

PREDICTED XI (4-2-3-1): Verbruggen; Veltman, Dunk, Igor Julio, Kadioglu; Hinshelwood, Baleba; Adingra, Rutter, Mitoma; Ferguson

UNAVAILABLE: Webster (Injured), Milner (Injured), O’Riley (Injured), March (Injured), Joao Pedro (Injured)

QUESTIONABLE: Minteh (Injured), Welbeck (injured)

WOLVES TEAM NEWS: JOHNSTONE BACK IN TRAINING

Sam Johnstone has done some training this week but O'Neil would not be drawn on which goalkeeper he would select for this fixture, with Jose Sa's impressive performance against Man City certainly giving him food for thought.

The Wolves boss could stick the three-at-the-back system that operated well last week.

PREDICTED XI (3-5-2): Sa; S. Bueno, Dawson, Toti; Semedo, Joao Gomes, Andre, Lemina, Ait-Nouri; Strand Larsen, Cunha

UNAVAILABLE: Mosquera (Injured), Traore (Injured), Gonzalez (Injured), Hwang (injured), Kalajdzic (Injured)

QUESTIONABLE: Johnstone (Injured), Meupiyou (Injured)

BRIGHTON VS WOLVES PREDICTION

Wolves' nightmarish fixture run in the opening phase of the season has been well documented, and while that starts to ease a little now, Brighton are by no means an opponent to be taken lightly. The Seagulls appear to have transitioned well to Fabian Hurzeler's methods, but they may not be as effective in attack here should in-form Danny Welbeck fail to prove his fitness ahead of this fixture.

If that is to be case, under 2.5 goals is a tempting market to consider.

BRIGHTON VS WOLVES TIP: UNDER 2.5 GOALS
