THE LOWDOWN
BRIGHTON
- Roberto De Zerbi is seemingly settling in well to life as Brighton boss now, with his side having won their last three games in all competitions and played some excellent attacking football along the way.
- De Zerbi made plenty of changes for the midweek League Cup victory over Arsenal but will revert to something similar to the side that started against Wolves last week, although Joel Veltman and Danny Welbeck are potential options should he decide to sway from that XI.
ASTON VILLA
- Unai Emery enjoyed an excellent first game in charge of Aston Villa with his side impressively overcoming Man Utd 3-1 last weekend, and the former Arsenal boss will hope to carry that momentum into this game despite the midweek League Cup exit to the same team.
- Emi Martinez is likely to take his place in goal despite the fact Argentina want him to travel early for the World Cup, while Diego Carlos and Philippe Countinho are the only players currently in the treatment room.

THE PREDICTION
Brighton are starting to gather some steam now under manager Roberto De Zerbi and they have played some eye-catching football of late, with the likes of Leandro Trossard clearly thriving under the new boss. Aston Villa, though, have a spring in their step following a change of manager themselves and there is a real optimism around the club that Unai Emery can take them on to bigger and better things. Both sides have reason to be confident then, and that could lead to an entertaining affair with both teams finding the net.
