THE LOWDOWN
BRENTFORD
- Despite a positive performance against Man Utd this past Wednesday which saw them record 18 shots, it ended in a 1-3 defeat for Brentford, their third straight Premier League loss having conceded a whopping ten goals across those three matches.
- Rico Henry was fit enough to feature from the bench in midweek and the expectation is that the left-wing-back will be restored to the starting line-up by head coach Thomas Frank against Wolves, although as it stands Frank will not have any injured players back in time for this match.
WOLVES
- Wolves’ outstanding run continued last weekend, as their 3-1 win over Southampton means that Bruno Lage’s side have now picked up ten points from the last 12 available to them, leaving them in eighth-place going into this latest round of league games.
- Injuries to both Willy Boly and Fernando Marcal means that Toti Gomes is likely to be afforded a second consecutive Premier League start as part of the back three with Romain Saiss still away at the Africa Cup of Nations

THE PREDICTION
Two sides in contrasting form lock horns at the Brentford Community Stadium, with Brentford’s leaky defence proving very much their downfall at present. In Wolves, the Bees face a well-oiled machine who boast the second-best defence in the top flight, having conceded just 15 goals so far this season. The visitors are clearly excellently coached by Lage, each player knowing their role and playing their part towards establishing such a strong unit from back to front. Brentford’s frontline have their work cut out in trying to break their opponents down and when taking account the defensive frailties among their own ranks, it would be no surprise if Wolves were to find the net themselves and ultimately edge out the hosts. With that in mind, back the visitors to triumph via the draw no bet market.
