THE LOWDOWN
BRENTFORD
- Brentford staged a fantastic late comeback to overcome fellow newly promoted side Watford 2-1 last Friday night, their second straight home league victory of the season.
- Head coach Thomas Frank has revealed that star striker Ivan Toney is in contention for a return after recovering from COVID-19, whilst Sergi Canos is back following suspension, another welcome boost for the Brentford boss.
MAN UTD
- Man Utd secured their second successive Premier League triumph by a goal to nil under interim manager Ralph Rangnick last weekend, beating lowly Norwich and here they travel to another newly promoted the side in Brentford.
- After suffering breathing difficulties against the Canaries and being subbed as a result, centre-back Victor Lindelof is likely to be given a rest here with Eric Bailly set to take his place, however the likes of Edinson Cavani, Raphael Varane and Aaron Wan-Bissaka all have a chance of making the tip to West London.

THE PREDICTION
Whilst Man Utd have looked a much-improved outfit under Rangnick, certainly off the ball and all over the pitch, they are far from the finished article. They continue to lack goals and it won’t be easy to break down a Brentford side who will look to cut off the supply towards star man Cristiano Ronaldo up front, as Norwich did so well until late on this past Saturday. However, the Bees themselves have a big task of their hands to beat United goalkeeper David De Gea, who has been in outstanding form recently. When taking this into account, the likelihood is that once again, a low scoring contest is on the cards for Rangnick’s Man Utd and backing under 2.5 goals scored here should prove the shrewd move.
Tip: UNDER 2.5 GOALS
