THE LOWDOWN
ASTON VILLA
- Aston Villa were last in action back on January 22nd when they beat Everton 0-1 at Goodison Park, elevating them to 11th-place in the table heading into the latest round of Premier League fixtures.
- Marvelous Nakamba remains out injured and although winger Leon Bailey is edging closer to a return, this match is likely to come too soon for him.
LEEDS UTD
- Leeds Utd have had plenty of time to reflect on their hugely disappointing 0-1 defeat at home to Newcastle last time out and their fans will be expecting a response at Villa Park, a ground in which the Whites have enjoyed plenty of success under Marcelo Bielsa.
- A further injury setback for striker Patrick Bamford will keep him out of this one and he will be be joined on the sidelines by defender Liam Cooper and midfielder Kalvin Phillips, although Adam Forshaw could make a welcome return to action.

LEEDS UTD

THE PREDICTION
Although Leeds Utd have won each of their last two fixtures away to Aston Villa, the hosts are a different prospect under Steven Gerrard and on the back of having strengthen significantly in January, look a force to be reckoned with for the rest of this Premier League season. The Leeds defence is expected to struggle against players such as Philippe Coutinho and Emiliano Buendia, with their creativity and goalscoring threat a huge asset for Gerrard alongside forwards Ollie Watkins and Danny Ings. The firepower of Aston Villa going forward outweighs that of Leeds, which should lead to three points for the home side in this one.
