ASTON VILLA TEAM NEWS: KONSA FIT
Despite some worries earlier in the week, Ezri Konsa will be in the matchday squad, as will Ollie Watkins who is still clearly working his way back to full fitness.
Should Leon Bailey miss out with the injury sustained in Villa's last league game, John McGinn would likely switch to the right, allowing for Jacob Ramsey to come into the side on the opposite flank.
PREDICTED XI (4-4-2): Martinez; Bogarde, Konsa, Torres, Digne; McGinn, Onana, Tielemans, Ramsey; Rogers, Watkins
UNAVAILABLE: Mings (Injured), Cash (Injured), Kamara (Injured)
QUESTIONABLE: Carlos (Injured), Bailey (Injured), Philogene (Injured)
EVERTON TEAM NEWS: BRANTHWAITE AND PATTERSON EDGING CLOSER, COLEMAN A DOUBT
Defensive pair Jarrad Branthwaite and Nathan Patterson are back on the grass but this fixture will come too soon in their recoveries, while Seamus Coleman has picked up a knock on international duty and could miss out on the trip to Villa Park.
Youssef Chermiti and loan signing Armando Broja will take no part in this fixture.
PREDICTED XI (4-2-3-1): Pickford; Young, Tarkowski, Keane, Mykolenko; Iroegbunam, Gueye; Harrison, McNeil, Ndiaye; Calvert-Lewin
UNAVAILABLE: Branthwaite (Injured), Patterson (Injured), Chermiti (Injured), Broja (Injured)
QUESTIONABLE: Coleman (Injured)
ASTON VILLA VS EVERTON PREDICTION
Toffees fans will have left Goodison Park two weeks ago wondering how their team threw away a two-goal lead to a Bournemouth side they were completely dominating, but the harsh reality is that Everton are rooted to the bottom of the table with no points from their first three Premier League outings of the season.
Aston Villa haven't exactly started the season in emphatic fashion themselves, but they have ground out a pair of victories either side of a 0-2 defeat to Arsenal. They are the undoubted favourites here against opponents who are clearly lacking belief, but there has been a degree of defensive uncertainty in the Villa ranks so far. Both teams scoring, then, is a reasonable assumption.
