ARSENAL
- The league leaders come into this crucial clash with title rivals Man City having suffered a slight dip in form lately with their defeat to Everton followed up with a draw against Brentford, although they were admittedly on the receiving end of a VAR mistake in that match that which should have seen the Bees equaliser ruled out.
- Mikel Arteta has kept faith with the same XI in the Premier League for some time now and, despite a recent downturn in results, he is unlikely make rotations ahead of such a big test.
MAN CITY
- Man City gained some ground on the Gunners courtesy of a 3-1 win victory over Aston Villa on Sunday, and they know that a win here would see them leapfrog their opponents at the top of the table, although they will have played a game more.
- Pep Guardiola adopted a three-at-the-back system against Villa and may opt for the same here given the improved display, while Erling Haaland is a slight doubt given his half-time withdrawal in that match.

Although Arsenal have undoubtedly been the more impressive and settled side this season, they appear to have hit a blip at just the wrong time and Pep Guardiola will smell blood here. However, City have not been at the same level as previous seasons, with Guardiola clearly unsure of what his best system and XI is.
