THE LOWDOWN
ARSENAL
- Arsenal have the opportunity to extend their lead at the top of the Premier League to five points with victory here, with this being their game in hand over second-placed Man City.
- Star striker Gabriel Jesus will not be fit in time to make his return from injury here, whilst Eddie Nketiah could come back into the starting line-up after starting from the bench against Leicester last weekend.
EVERTON
- A damaging 0-2 defeat at home to Aston Villa combined with other results saw Everton drop back into the bottom three on Saturday and only three points at Emirates Stadium would haul them back out.
- The Toffees are desperately short of firepower up front and with Dominic Calvert-Lewin set to miss out once more with a hamstring injury.

THE PREDICTION
Against a strong Gunners backline, it’s hard to see where the goals are coming from for Everton as they aim to shock Arsenal for a second time this season, after beating them at Goodison Park. The hosts though, certainly won’t be showing any complacency and the opportunity to gain a points-cushion over Man City and Man Utd is a golden one. In what is likely to be a tense affair, the point of difference is likely to come from world class attacking players such as Bukayo Saka out wide and Martin Odegaard centrally. It’s hard to see Everton being able to keep a clean sheet against players of their class and the expectation is that Arsenal will do enough to gain a precious three points.
