THE PREDICTION

Despite a 1-0 win over Arsenal in their last game out, Manchester City still don’t look convincing this season, a shell of their former self in seasons gone by. That being said, City are expected to turn their sluggish start to the season around and shoot up the table in the coming weeks, therefore it’s difficult to look past a City win in this game. Although West Ham showed brilliant resilience against Spurs to rescue a point after being 3-0 down, it is a tremendously tough task to show the same fight a second week running against an arguably better side and City need to show they still mean business sooner rather than later. Pep’s men have an average of just 1.8 goals scored per game so far this season, which isn't much compared to their 2.68 from last year but City are due one of their trademark demolitions. It would be harsh to suggest that such demolition would come this weekend against a West Ham side who have had a positive start to the season, but an away win by at least a 2 goal margin, BTTS and over 3.5 goals is possible.
